Tips on Playing Afuche/Cabasa by jim Greiner

The traditional cabasa is made from a coconut strung with heads which is not at all durable. One of LP's earliest invention is the very durable, metal LP Afuche Cabasa. To play it hold the handle with your thumb and forefinger of your dominant hand. Rest the instrument in the palm of your other hand. Hold i t lightly and turn it to get a sound or maintain your grip and go back and forth.

Jim Greiner is an LP artist and clinician who is featured on LP's video, Community Drumming For Health & Happiness.
